Paramedics called to Fever & Boutique nightspot in early hours of Sunday morning.

Police are investigating the death of a woman who is understood to have collapsed in the Fever & Boutique nightclub in Barnstaple.

Paramedics were called to the club in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Police said the death was not being treated as suspicious.

Fever Bars’ operations director James Elias told the Gazette: “A young lady collapsed in the venue in the early hours of Sunday morning very shortly after arriving for a night out.

“An ambulance was called for straight away and CPR was given at the scene. Tragically she passed away later in hospital.

“The police are not treating the circumstances as suspicious. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with the her family and friends.”
