Woman cut from car after Fremington crash

Two casualties taken to hospital following Yelland Road collision.

A MAN and a woman were taken to hospital following a car crash in Fremington yesterday afternoon (Tuesday).

The collision between the red Hyundai and silver Renault Clio, both registered in Barnstaple, happened on Yelland Road at around 4.20pm.

Paramedics managed to free two casualties from the vehicles before firefighters from Barnstaple arrived on the scene and used hydraulic cutting equipment and small tools to release a second female.

Road closures were in place for a short time to enable police to recover the vehicles.
