POLICE are seeking a man who, it is believed, witnessed an assault on a woman bus driver in Barnstaple on Tuesday night (April 14).The incident took place at around 7pm, when a man grabbed the bus driver as she was sat in her cab in Barnstaple Bus Station.A 31-year-old local man was arrested and released on police bail to return to Barnstaple Police Station on May 11. Police said that a man approached the bus driver after the assault and inquired about her welfare, but no details were taken at the time.
