Witnesses sought after Braunton bus assault allegation

WITNESSES are being sought after an alleged assault on a teenager with learning difficulties during a bus journey between Braunton and Petroc in Barnstaple on Wednesday.

It happened at around 8.10am and the victim, a 17-year-old boy from the Braunton area, was allegedly assaulted when the male suspect ignited a lighter and held it close to his finger, causing minor injury.

The suspect is described as wearing a black leather style jacket, dark jeans and black shoes. He had ginger hair and was wearing a silver chain on his neck.
