Police want to speak to a white van driver who allegedly drove away from the scene of an accident that left a motorcyclist with serious leg injuries
Police have appealed for witnesses after van driver did not stop when a motorcyclist was badly injured in a crash on the A39 near Barnstaple yesterday (Thursday).
The collision took place at Tollbar Cross between Shirwell and Arlington at around 4.50pm.
It is alleged that a small white Peugeot van with black bumpers turned across the path of two motorcyclists causing one motorcyclist, riding a Suzuki bike, to lose control and collide with the nearside bank.
The 19-year-old man sustained a serious leg injury and was taken to North Devon District Hospital by ambulance.
The van did not stop and police are trying to trace the vehicle and identify the driver.
They would like to hear from anyone who saw anything or who has any dashcam footage of the incident.
