A PUBLIC inquiry into two proposed wind farm developments near South Molton starts today (Tuesday) in South Molton Assembly Rooms.

The inquiry follows appeals by developers Airtricity, who want to build nine turbines at Three Moors, near Knowstone, and by Coronation Power, who are looking to erect four turbines at Bickham Moor, near Oakford.

Both companies have appealed against non-determination of the proposals by North and Mid Devon Councils.

The inquiries are scheduled to last for four weeks, from Tuesday until Friday each week, 10am until 5pm each day.

They will be open to members of the public, who are also welcome to speak at the inquiry. Anyone wishing to do so will need to attend today to register their intention to speak.
