This month’s royal wedding will be shown on two big screens in Barnstaple.

Harry and Meghan’s big day at Windsor Castle on Saturday, May 19 will be screened in the Square and in the pannier market.

The screenings, organised by Barnstaple Town Centre Management in partnership with Event Support Solutions, will kick off in the Square at 10am, with the wedding itself taking place at 12noon.

There will be a large 8ft by 4ft screen with refreshments available from Karumba Koffee Kart, Sparkle and Fizz, burgers and sausages from Bulldog Fish Farm and Hocking’s ice-cream.

Seating will be provided but people are invited to bring their own picnic blankets.

Meanwhile in the pannier market, the wedding will be shown on a wall-mounted screen.

Tables and chairs will be available and many shops and restaurants will be putting on special food and drinks on the day

Block on Butcher’s Row will be holding a wedding reception from 3-8pm with ‘fizz, (hot) dogs and tunes.

You can book yourself into Treat Time on Boutport Street for a royal wedding themed tea party, or decorate your very own commemorative plate or cup at Let’s Paint Ceramics, also in Boutport Street.
