THESE are just some of the events being held to celebrate North Devon Day on Saturday and raise money for North Devon Hospice:n Musical Coffee Morning at Hartland Methodist Hall, 10am-11.30am with the Hartland Singers, Ellen Carrington at the piano, tombola, raffle draw. Entry £1.50 including refreshments.n Plough Arts Centre, Torrington. Torrington Players present Witness for the Prosecution by Agatha Christie. There will be a raffle during the evening in aid of the hospice.n The Pier Tavern, The Quay, Ilfracombe is hosting the Dimestore Gamblers rock 'n' roll band in the bar, DJs Ben, Jez, lady C plus guests. Entry free from 9pm. There will be a collection for the hospice.n The Beaford Garage in Beaford is holding a car wash for North Devon Hospice between 10am-1pm. £3 per vehicle. The Heard family welcomes everyone. Give your vehicle a treat for a good cause!n Saidee's Tearooms, 10-11 Fore Street, Ilfracombe is selling delicious soups and home-made cakes on both Saturday and Sunday, with proceeds going to North Devon Hospice.n The award-winning Marwood Gardens will be doing cream teas and having a collection for the hospice.n Ashford Ladies are organising supper in the Rectory with a locally themed quiz and raffle. There will be a sumptuous supper. Tickets for the event are £12 and everyone is welcome.n Winkleigh Church Wives are hosting a tea, coffee and cake stall in the Winkleigh Community Centre from 10am-12 noon. There will be a grand draw during the morning.n Duncan Withall from Christians Together is organising cream teas and refreshments from 10am-3pm free of charge from the Bideford Blues premises on The Pill, Bideford.n The Edge are putting on a Show at Edgehill College Theatre, Bideford, from 11am.n Activities to celebrate North Devon Day will be taking place in Bideford Pannier Market.n Braunton Rotary Club is donating the proceeds of its Village Fair on Bank Holiday Monday to North Devon Hospice.n Silver Spurs Square Dance Club are holding a demonstration and offering cream teas at Goodleigh Village Hall.n This year's Walk for Life on Sunday is being held in conjunction with North Devon Day.n Judith Dark at Springfield Nursery will be organising an open afternoon at the children's day care nursery for parents, family and friends and selling cream teas.n The Sportsman's Inn at Sandyway is holding a table top sale, quiz and carvery in aid of North Devon Day. The sale starts at 11am (sellers 10am) and the carvery from 7.30pm.
