Yazzy holding launch event for ‘Silly boys breaking hearts’ on Sunday
Westward Ho!’s teenage singing sensation Yazzy Chamberlain is set to launch her debut album on Sunday.
16-year-old Yazzy is releasing Silly boys breaking hearts, including contributions from producers Gareth Henderson and Phil Braithewaite of Birdy and Vanessa Mae fame respectively.
Yazzy looks set for big things, having been compared by James Santer from BBC Introducing in Devon to Eva Cassidy.
Even at the age of 16, she’s no stranger to success, either. She was named the best singer/songwriter under 18 at the Future Music Songwriting Contest in Camden in June, and won at the Open Mic UK event at the NEC in Birmingham in January.
Yazzy is a double Teenstar grand finalist and also gained recognition in America, winning a songwriting competition at the age of 14.
The album launch takes place on Sunday at The Ocean Kave in Westward Ho!, where Yazzy will be supported by Sam Dowden, Kiera Osment, Charmain Lovette from Sonic Fusion and a surprise guest act.
