THE Westward Ho! Potwalloping Festival is going ahead next month after all.Festival organisers did consider not holding the three-day celebration this year, but changed their minds after protests.Organiser Lesley Dixon-Chatfield said the event would not be on the same scale as usual, but there would be semi-acoustic music, a beer tend on the Green and previous stallholders were being contacted to see if they would like to take part from May 23-25."We won't be running the full version, but it will be a celebration of everything about Westward Ho! We hope to come back with a bigger, bolder event next year."I'd like to point out that our festival has nothing whatever to do with potwalloping - the practice of throwing stones back on to the famous pebbleridge at Westward Ho!
