Plans have been lodged for 21 new apartments off Atlantic Way in Westward Ho!

Plans have been lodged to build a new seven-storey apartment building in Westward Ho!

Proposals for the ‘long stalled site’ include 21 new apartments in Atlantic Way, as well as parking and access.

The steep site is currently wasteland and is flanked by the five-storey Kingsley Court on one side, and the four-storey Culloden House on the other.

The developers hope once permission is granted, the site could open its doors within the next two years.

A spokesman for the developers said: “Coyne Group is delighted to bring forward this long stalled site for a development of 21 new apartments with parking for each property.

“The scheme follows on from the proposals by previous developers for 22 apartments that were granted planning consent in 2004, which have proved to be an unviable design.

“Coyne Group have undertaken a wholesale review for bringing forward housing upon the site, with input from Torridge District Council, to deliver a high quality residential development that will add to Westward Ho! and fulfil the potential of this vacant parcel of land.”
