Westward Ho! will be lighting up for Christmas at its first ever switch on event on Saturday.
Westward Ho! will be hosting its first official Christmas lights switch on this Saturday on the village green.
At 6pm, Northam town councillor Roger Tisdale and his son Robbie will be turning on the lights, after Cllr Tisdale fought for 14 years to get festoon lighting along the seafront.
Organiser Peter Sawyer said: “This has made a massive difference to the look of the village, it’s our way of saying thank you for years of work to Roger.”
Merlin Cadogan, from Britain’s Got Talent, will then be performing circus skills from 6.15pm.
Following Merlin’s performance, there will be a range of street performers on the green and The Fairly Good Baldini will have an array of amazing tricks.
And Peter the Dragon will be performing fire breathing, as long as the winds are not too strong.
The village will be open late to grab some shopping ready for the big day.
