SIR - We hear so much about young people misbehaving, I would like to tell you about four young men who rang my doorbell one Thursday evening before Christmas.
I had just had a bath when the doorbell rang and when I opened it, there stood four young lads probably between 14 and 16 singing a Christmas carol.
I let them finish and then asked: "Who are you collecting for?" only to be told that they weren't collecting money but "just want to cheer people up because it was Christmas."
I didn't know them; we had a short conversation before they went on their way to sing to other families. I thought it was wonderful and it did cheer me up. I would like to say "thank you" to those lovely well mannered young men.
