YOUNGSTERS at Little Bridge House have been getting ready for this year's Wear Your Wellies Day, which takes place on Friday in aid of the Children's Hospice South West.Anam Ashcroft-Kelly, aged eight, and Ellie Carpenter, nine, are urging people to pay £1 and wear their wellies - whatever the weather! The girls - who both have sick brothers currently receiving respite care at Little Bridge House - spent an afternoon making sure their boots are bright and colourful in time for the big day."As the name suggests, the idea of the day is to pay just £1 to wear your wellies to work or to school," said hospice marketing assistant Sophie Parry."Alternatively, why not ask friends and family to sponsor you £1 to wear your wellies at home all day or down to the shops!"The hospice has some great tips on how to decorate your wellies and is urging people to send in pictures of their embellished boots.Readers can also download their own Wear Your Wellies poster to help encourage friends, families and colleagues to take part, by visiting the hospice website www.chsw.org.uk and clicking on the annual events page. For more information, telephone the hospice on (01271) 325270 or email ian.roome@chsw.org.uk
