SIR - Moving is stressful anyway, but moving last Friday in the most adverse weather conditions that we have seen in years, was more stressful still. Being woken very early to be told that the removal vehicles were battling through snow and would either be very late, or complete non-arrivals didn't help and this was coupled with what would appear to be a reasonably minor problem - that of parking. Why had we chosen to move to a property off the High Street in Ilfracombe with no vehicular access?By the time our removal vans finally arrived, I was a complete mess and the sight of two traffic wardens patrolling the High Street led to my heart sinking even further. However, these two wardens couldn't have been more helpful, quickly taking control and sorting out our parking problem promptly and efficiently. It is not always easy undertaking a difficult role while still acting humanely and with common sense. These wardens managed both and I would just like to say thank you.Sarah Summers, Ilfracombe.
