Woolacombe weekend raises £5,750 for the Seamoor Unit

North Devon VW Club raised an incredible £5,750 from its Final Fling event for the new Seamoor Chemotherapy Unit.

The October event saw VWs from across the country descend on Woolacombe for a celebration of all things VW.

Organiser Jamie Tallin said: “The club wanted to raise money towards new equipment for the chemotherapy unit and we are delighted with the result.

“It was by far the most money our club has raised from a single event.”

Fundraiser Julie Whitton showed the club members around the new unit over the weekend so they could see where their fundraising will be spent.

Julie added: “The VW Club are an amazing bunch of people who found the perfect way to raise funds while having a great time at the Final Fling Festival at Little Roadway Farm in Woolacombe. “The staff at the new chemotherapy unit have a long list of equipment that they would like to purchase to treat our patients in the new Seamoor Unit, and this money will help towards making that a reality.”
