A visitor to Ilfracombe has been attacked in what police say was an unprovoked assault.
The 27-year-old man was walking along Arcade Road on Friday evening at about 7.15pm, when it is alleged one of two men who had been arguing with each other as he passed suddenly punched him in the eye for no apparent reason.
The Hampshire visitor was left with facial injuries as a result.
Both suspects are described as aged around 18 or 19. One was about six feet tall, with short dark hair and wearing a short sleeved white shirt. The second was around five feet eight, with short dark hair, a tanned complexion and wearing a blue or black polo shirt with white stripes.
