SIR - As Pipe Major of the City of Newport Pipes and Drums, I would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the people of Bideford who made our recent stay in the town so welcoming.
The organisation was excellent and the assistance given by marshalls, sterwards and townsfolk made the event most enjoyable.
This was the first time our band has participated in your carnival and we look forward to seeing many new friends in the town again.
