The people of Combe Martin are asked what hall should be the fate of two community buildings.
THE people of Combe Martin have been having their say on the future of the village’s two halls.
A public consultation event on Wednesday saw villagers asked their views on the prospect of the Parish Council taking over the Community Centre or keeping the Village Hall, with the likelihood that it could not do both.
Parish clerk Michelle Beaumont said there had been quite a good response, with a lot of people completing the questionnaires that had been handed out and making comments about what they would like to see for both halls.
“There were a variety of views and the parish council will be looking at the results in December,” she said.
“Thank you to everyone who attended the consultation or filled out forms, it was very much appreciated.”
The results of the consultation is now likely to go to the council’s highway, property and planning committee before going on to a meeting of the full council.
