THE annual Combe Martin Christmas Shoebox appeal is going to be divided between two worthy causes this year.

Shoeboxes of small luxuries and essential items will be distributed both to poor children and families in Romania as usual, plus those stricken by the Pakistan flood disaster.

Jeanne Rumson-Waltho has run the successful appeal for many years, as the goodwill of villagers and the surrounding areas brought a little festive cheer to those who have next to nothing.
