Combe Martin’s well-liked street cleaner Martin Ford has retired

Accolades have been paid to North Devon Council's Combe Martin street cleaner Martin Ford, who has retired after almost 13 years.

Head of service Ricky McCormack said: "Martin is a larger-than-life character, always smiling and laughing and could brighten up anyone's day.

"His work ethic was fantastic and he will be sorely missed following his decision to retire."
