THE Citizens Advice Bureau in Bideford has extended its services to become the Torridge and Bude Citizens Advice Bureau Limited with offices in Bideford, Bude and Holsworthy. It also runs an outreach service for Torrington.A video link between the offices will enable clients to speak to Legal Aid specialists in confidence from any one of its bases.Manager Stephen Davis said: "We have been working towards this merger with Bude and Holsworthy for the past six months and now are able to pool our resources in this very effective manner."With financial help from North Cornwall District Council we have been able to become really innovative by using technology as a means of providing the public access to specialist advice."Clients can be interviewed and given advice even though the adviser and the client may be 30 miles apart."Andrew Beer, chairman of the board of trustees, said the merger would create a much stronger and more effective bureau.Anyone who needs help should call (01237) 473161 or (01237) 479222 to arrange an appointment and to find out whether their problem attracts Legal Aid funding.
