COLOURFUL costumed folk and large crowds were out in force as the Ilfracombe Victorian Celebrations came to a close on Sunday with a final pageant along the seafront.With them were dozens of bell ringing entrants from the annual Town Crier Competition, held to much acclaim and "oyez" at Runnymede bandstand that morning.It capped a week of spectacle, with a stunning firework display on Saturday above the seafront, supported by the North Devon Festival and Ilfracombe Town Council.Highlights included the lively Suffragettes march, an Old Time Variety Show at the Landmark, Victorian puppets at Ilfracombe Museum and much more. Chairman Lin Harper would like to thank all who turned out to support the week', as well as numerous supporters, sponsors and volunteers who worked hard to make the week so special.
