On Saturday, April 17, North Devon-based The Veterans Charity will be hosting a Easter-themed drive through hand car wash at their ‘VCHQ’ in Barnstaple.

The event will feature a 5-stage hand car wash with a drive-through car wash lane where cars will get a degrease, pressure soak, wash and scrub, power rinse and finally a Chamois dry of all glass/windows. There will also be refreshments, sweets and treats for kids and a chance to buy some great charity merchandise to support their work.

The event begins at 10am and finishes at 5pm. There is a suggested donation of £7.50 per vehicle and payments can be made by cash or contactless card on the day.

Danny Greeno, CEO of The Veterans Charity said “Since the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic, we have seen a drop in income of more than 20% whilst referrals and requests have increased by almost 75%.

“Almost all of our public fundraising opportunities have been lost which has had a huge impact on the funds available to us. The car wash we hosted for Halloween was a great success and we were delighted to see so many people coming to support it. We hope to see even more this time!”
