POLICE are appealing for information after a community notice board was destroyed by vandals in North Molton. The oak-framed board with two glass doors - estimated to be worth £1,000 - is thought to have been smashed to the ground at around 10.15pm on Sunday, July 20.Parish clerk Gillian Lee said the valuable community resource had stood outside Bulleds shop in the village for the last 10 years."It's been ripped out of the ground and smashed on one side where it hit the road," she said."It's really irritating because it's always full of any kind of local information such as parish council news and anything else going on in and around the community."Obviously we'll get it sorted but it's going to take a while. For the time being, people are having to use the shop window until we can get another."Anyone with any information can contact PC Julie Bradshaw at South Molton Police Station on (01769) 575053.
