THERE is still room for two more businesses to move into the Woodlands Enterprise Centre at South Molton, says North Devon Council. The centre, located at Pathfields, houses seven industrial units suitable for businesses that are looking to grow, provide new employment and contribute to the local economy..The development itself is located to offer excellent transport links and has a multi-purpose training and conference facility that is available for anybody to hire.Within the building there is a business support unit with a shared ground floor reception area, site administration facility, kitchenette and ground floor business resource centre with IT provision. The building has been designed to be environmentally friendly which should, depending on use, result in reduced costs for businesses. It has been built using sustainable timber and reclaimed bricks and incorporates rainwater recycling, natural ventilation systems and a heat exchange system.A number of local businesses currently operate from the Woodlands Enterprise Centre including a photographic studio, a speciality food supplier, a water technology firm and a heritage woodcarving enterprise. For further information on requirements, costs and how to apply for the business units contact North Devon Council's Economic Development Team on (01271) 388368 or email economicdevelopment@northdevon.gov.uk
