The new vehicles come as a new contract starts with Filers for the Barnstaple to Lynton service.

Buses on the 309/310 service in North Devon have experienced an upgrade.

As part of a new contract starting this week, Filers is operating the Barnstaple-to-Lynton service.

The bus operator has invested in several new vehicles, providing extra capacity on this route, which is subsidised by Devon County Council.

Councillor Stuart Hughes, DCC cabinet member for highway management, said: “This is an important route for many people in North Devon and I’m delighted that Filers is rolling out a new fleet of vehicles on this route which will make the journey a much better experience for passengers.

“As well as providing extra seating capacity, the new buses are greener and meet Euro 5 emission standards.”

The service, which operates Monday to Saturday (except Bank Holidays) also stops at Bratton Fleming, Blackmoor Gate, Parracombe and Barbrook.
