UPDATE: No bail for cash point robbery accused

Pair will remain in police custody until crown court date later this month.

TWO men who allegedly forced an autistic man to withdraw money from a cash point in Barnstaple have been remanded in custody until their crown court trial later this month.

Alexander Gunn, 41, and Daniel Howard, 33, both from Barnstaple, appeared before North Devon Magistrates’ Court today (Friday) charged with robbery following the incident on Wednesday afternoon.

Lead magistrate Mrs Lock refused bail due to the serious nature of the offence.

Both men will face trial at Exeter Crown Court on October 31.
