Update: Motorcyclist taken to hospital following collision

Rider suffered from ‘possible life changing injuries’ say police.

A MOTORCYCLIST was taken to hospital with ‘possible life changing injuries’ on Saturday following a collision in Barnstaple.

Police closed the roads in the town after a motorocycle and a silver Peugeot 207 were involved in a collision in Station Road, near Halfords.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 40-year-old man from Barnstaple, was taken to North Devon District Hospital with serious leg injuries.

Traffic queued as police closed Station Road and the A3125 from The Square and diverted traffic through Taw Vale.
