POST mortem examinations on the bodies of two women discovered following a Barnstaple house fire are due to take place tomorrow (Tuesday) police have said.
A murder inquiry has been launched following the grim discovery on Sunday morning of the two 35-year-old victims at a home in Fort Mead Close.
An injured man aged 40 was also found at the scene and was taken to hospital where he remains under police guard on suspicion of murder.
Police said one of the women lived at the address and the other was a visiting friend. They are in the process of informing next of kin and said one family had been told but there were issues with next of kin regarding the other victim.
