POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an assault in The Venue, on The Strand in Barnstaple.The assault took place in the toilets at the club between midnight and 1am on Sunday.During the incident two women received facial injuries.A 21 year-old woman was arrested following the incident and has been bailed to return to Barnstaple police station on May 19.Other women are thought to have witnessed the assault and police are encouraging them to come forward and call the police on 08452 777444 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
