Two men have been arrested in Ilfracombe on suspicion of trafficking heroin. The 35 and 37-year-old were arrested after police carried out a drugs warrant at an address in Wilder Road on Sunday. The Proactive Team joined local officers to execute the warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act, with drugs, cash, scales and phones seized at the scene. Both men have been bailed until April 13 although one was already wanted for failing to appear at court and was kept in custody to appear before North Devon Magistrates the next morning. North Devon Sector Inspector Roger Bartlett said: Illegal drugs destroy lives and families. My hope is these operations will be seen as evidence of our commitment to do all we can to catch and convict those involved in this industry of misery. My message to dealers is We will catch you. We only need to be lucky once.
