Two arrested after Ilfracombe ‘car chase’

Car left damaged after alleged attack as it drove along Ilfracombe High Street.

TWO men were arrested for affray after it is alleged a car was pursued, punched and kicked as it drove along Ilfracombe High Street.

Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the alleged incident involved the black Vauxhall Insignia in the area opposite Northfield Road outside Buddy’s on Tuesday, April 16 at around 4.50-5.10pm.

Inspector Roger Bartlett said the car had suffered damage to its windows and bodywork.

Two men have been bailed to return to Barnstaple Police Station this Friday (May 3).
