Two arrested after Bideford firearms report

POLICE were called to the Royston Road area of Bideford at 11.45pm on Friday after receiving a report that two men had been threatened by a man in possession of a firearm.

On arrival, the officers found that no firearm had been discharged and that no one had been injured.

Inquiries were made and at around 1pm on Saturday, officers from the Tactical Firearms Unit went to an address in Barton Tors, Bideford, where they arrested two men, aged 23 and 29.

They were taken to Barnstaple Police Station and later released on police bail.
