FRIENDS of Bideford hero Sean Griffiths are holding a special charity weekend in his memory.It is being organised at the Night Owls club in Bideford High Street as a tribute to Sean, 40, who lost his life after jumping into the River Torridge in an attempt to save another man.Events are being organised by club proprietor Patsy Way and staff member Penny George, both friends of Sean.From today (Wednesday) red ribbons will be on sale at the club and raffles will be held.On Friday and Saturday nights there will be sponsored karaoke and on Sunday afternoon Penny's 14-year-old son Monty is sacrificing his shoulder-length hair in a sponsored headshave."We are normally a members-only club, but will be waiving the rule for this weekend," said Penny."Sean was a friend of mine and my family. His loss has been devastating. Everyone misses him and this weekend will be a tribute to him."Patsy said: "Sean was a very good friend as well as a customer. He was such a lovely man.
