TREE lovers are being invited to join in a search for some of the greatest treasures of the countryside in the Ancient Tree Hunt.Dr Keith Alexander, a Devon based ecologist and a founder-director of the Ancient Tree Forum, spoke to Devon Wildlife Trust members at their meeting in the Castle Centre in Barnstaple on Friday about Ancient Trees in Devon and the part local people can play in safeguarding their futureThe project, jointly run with the Woodland Trust, involves the compilation of a register of all the ancient trees in the UK.
