Travel awards for North Devon schools

TWENTY seven North Devon and Torridge schools are among 86 countywide who have received Devon Schools Travelwise awards.
Devon County Council supports schools across Devon to plan, write, update and implement their School Travel Plans every year. Some of the schools which are being recognised for promoting green travel have had travel plans in place for more than four years.
Staff, pupils and parents have made efforts to improve their local environment and promote green travel by increasing walking, cycling and car sharing.
Among the award winners, Combe Martin Primary, Orchard Vale Community School in Barnstaple, South Molton Infants and Yeo Valley Primary in Barnstaple have gained the top platinum awards.
