SIR - In your report of July 6 concerning the A39 Roundswell roundabout, you talk of the congestion misery for local commuters.
In this report you failed to talk about the misery for commuters who use the B3233 from Instow to Cedars roundabout.
This section of road is from 8am till past 9am just one big traffic jam all the way back to beyound Bickington Post Office. Then it is a crawl from Cedars roundabout to Barnstaple.
Now we read that there are to be 400 houses to be built on land across from Roundswell estate, 250 houses on the old Army camp at Fremington and thousands of new houses proposed along the B3233 from Bickington, Fremington to Yelland. It seems that these planners never leave their offices to see what misery they cause for those people who already have to suffer the daily misery of trying to drive into Barnstaple along this road.
