Fire crews were called this afternoon (Sunday) after a tractor caught fire in West Anstey.

Crews from Dulverton and South Molton were called at 1.04pm to reports of a tractor fire off the B3227.

A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: “On arrival, crews confirmed one tractor was well alight within a field.

“Crews got to work to extinguish the fire using compressed air foam.

“The fire caused severe damage to the tractor.

“The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.”
