Traction engine club helps stoke up Chemo Appeal

Devon Traction Engine, Veteran and Vintage Car Club goes full steam ahead for North Devon Chemotherapy Appeal.

A popular steam and vintage rally has helped to stoke the coffers of the North Devon Chemotherapy Appeal with a 1,000 donation.

Devon Traction Engine, Veteran and Vintage Car Club raised the money from the 47th Chapelton Barton Steam Rally in September, while committee members donated their expenses and the club made it up to 1,000. A further 400 was donated following a tractor run in 2011.

The club is keen to hear from any potential new members or anyone willing to become committee members and help organise events such as Chapelton.

The next meeting is at Winkleigh Village Hall on Wednesday of next week (May 2) at 8pm and anyone who would like to find out more is welcome to go along. Alternatively contact chairman Jeff Stanley on 07947 611107.
