Torrington scout hall benefits from councillor grant

TORRIDGE District Councillor Geoff Lee has presented a cheque for �1,250 to the 1st Torrington Scout Group from his Councillor Community Grant allowance.

Members of the scout hall committee decided to use the money for refurbishment work on the building, replacing decayed doors and installing new windows.

Councillor Lee said: "I am delighted to have been able to help with the much needed renovation of the Scout Hall which is well used by our community."
