Man, 32, taken to North Devon District Hospital after collision as police appeal for witnesses.

A man from Torrington was airlifted to hospital on Friday evening after a serious collision near Hatherleigh.

The 32-year-old driver of a yellow Vauxhall Astra van suffered ‘serious internal injuries’ and was flown to North Devon District Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

A Beaworthy woman, 40, driving a black Mitsubishi Outlander, also involved in the collision, suffered minor injuries.

Police arrived at the scene on the A386 Station Road at Meethe shortly after 5.30pm and closed the road for two hours.

Officers would like to hear from any witnesses or anyone who saw the vehicles in the moments before the collision.
