Firefighters arrived in New Street to find the vehicle well alight

A car was badly damaged in a fire at New Street, Torrington, yesterday (Wednesday, January 31).

Firefighters were called to the scene at around 11.30am and found the vehicle well alight.

They used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel to extinguish the blaze and a thermal imaging camera to confirm that the vehicle was safe.
