Primary school pupils in Torrington have been celebrating the arts with creative work.

Torrington Bluecoat Primary School has been celebrating creativity for Arts Week.

Visual art, drama, creative writing and music have all been part of the special event.

Activities included making their own clothes and jewellery, writing poetry, creating a school mosaic and making shadow puppets.

Art teacher Janice Harris said: “I have been overwhelmed by the passion of the children and the staff for the arts.

“Children stop me in the corridor to tell me about their latest arts projects in class - what a joy it is to see them so enthusiastic about their learning.”
