Stuart Ford acquitted at Exeter Magistrates’ Court.

The manager of a Torrington-based animal rescue charity accused of animal cruelty has been cleared of all charges.

Stuart Ford, who runs the Society for the Protection and Rehoming of Animals (SPRA), was alleged to have caused unnecessary suffering to dogs in his care, and failed to provide a suitable environment for animals.

Mr Ford, 54, denied all 10 charges and was acquitted at Exeter Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Tuesday).
