Accident between car and van occurred shortly after 8.10 this morning (Wednesday)

Update: The collision was cleared and the road was reopened shortly after 10.30am

Traffic is slow in Torrington this morning (Wednesday) following a four-vehicle accident

The collision took place on New Street (A386) between Limer's Hill and Warren Lane just after 8.10am.

Two moving vehicles and two parked vehicles were involved in the collision, which saw a Skoda Fabia overturn.

A Citreon C15 camper van, a Toyota Auris, and a Vauxhall Tigra have also been involved.

Fire crews and police are on the scene and a road closure is in place at the Taddiport junction to direct traffic into the town centre via Mill Street.

Ambulance crews are also in attendance, with the Skoda driver expected to be taken to North Devon District Hospital.
