TORRIDGE District Council has agreed a council tax increase of two per cent. This equates to an extra �2.80 a year on a Band D property, from �140.17 to �142.97. The overall tax bill includes the charges of Devon County Council, the police force and fire
TORRIDGE District Council has agreed a council tax increase of two per cent. This equates to an extra �2.80 a year on a Band D property, from �140.17 to �142.97.
The overall tax bill includes the charges of Devon County Council, the police force and fire service and the parish and town councils.
When these are added, the average bill for a Band D property rises from �1,487.04 to �1,523.19. This figure will vary slightly from parish to parish according to the local precepts.
