CREATE your own unique spotlights with torches, and help uncover some of the secrets and mysteries in the depths of the Burton Art Gallery and Museum in Bideford.As part of the national initiative Museums At Night Weekend, the Burton will be running Tours by Torchlight, an exciting and unique way for families to explore the Burton's building and its collections.Activities are designed for parents and children to create and make things together. Participants should bring their own torches. On hand to help with ideas will be Jo Simpson, the learning and development officer, and after decorating and personalising the torches, groups will be led on a tour of discovery throughout the gallery and museum by an expert on the Burton's secrets.The event takes place on May 15 between 6.30pm and 8pm. Tours will run every 20 minutes.
