THREE lucky North Devon Hospice supporters will be celebrating the start of 2009 with one of a trio of top prizes up for grabs in this year's Grand Raffle.Anyone with a New Year's resolution to get in shape will do well to get a ticket to be in with a chance of winning a "Gold" membership at Bideford's Fitness M8 Gym. Also up for grabs is a EI Systems 1211 laptop computer plus bag courtesy of PC World, Barnstaple, and £250 of vouchers that can be exchanged at any Premier Inn or Whitbread Family Leisure outlets in the UK.The draw takes place at 11.30pm at a special New Year's Eve casino party - complete with roulette tables - at the Barum Gate Table Table at 11.30pm.Barum Gate general manager, Pete Elder, said he was "delighted" to be supporting North Devon Hospice again."It's always a real honour to raise as much as we possibly can for such a great local charity," he said."In these tough times we're so grateful to Fitness M8 and PC World for helping to make this raffle possible." Hospice fundraiser, Emma Lowe, said the raffle would help to raise much-needed funds for local people in North Devon who rely on the services provided by North Devon Hospice."The hospice plays such a crucial role in the lives of so many local families that every ticket you purchase means that £1 will go towards making a very positive difference in our local community," she said."I know we are all feeling the pinch of the credit crunch but every donation is greatly appreciated and all of the money raised locally will be spent locally."
