Witnesses are being sought after a two-year-old girl was hit by a car in Lynton yesterday (Thursday) evening.
The toddler has been airlifted to Musgrove Hospital in Taunton with serious head injuries following the 6.20pm collision with a car at Crossmead.
The vehicle was a grey coloured Mitsubishi driven by a 71-year-old local woman.
The girl had been staying in Lynton for a week on holiday from London with her family.
Officers from the serious collisions unit attended the scene and the road was closed for four hours. Enquiries are currently ongoing.
